- • English language test scores (IELTS 6.5+, PTE 58+, TOEFL 79+)

- • Reference letters (1-2 academic or professional)
Prepare Your Documents
Gather and prepare all required documents. This can take 2-4 weeks.

Tip: All non-English documents must be translated by certified translators. Keep both original and translated copies.
Submit Your Application
Apply directly through the university's website or via their application portal.

- Direct Application:Apply via university website (most common, often free or $50-$100)
- Education Agent:Free service, they submit on your behalf (paid by universities)
- Apply Portal:Some states have centralized portals (e.g., UAC for NSW)
Wait for Offer Letter
Universities typically respond within 4-6 weeks. You may receive:
Unconditional Offer
You've met all requirements. Accept and proceed to pay fees.
Conditional Offer
You need to meet additional requirements (e.g., improve English score, complete current degree).
Rejection
You didn't meet entry requirements. Consider alternative courses or universities.
Accept Offer & Pay Tuition
Once you receive an offer, you typically have 2-4 weeks to accept and pay.
Payment Required:
- • First semester tuition fee (usually 50% of annual fee)
- • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) - ~$600/year
- • Any other fees specified in offer letter
Budget: Expect to pay $10,000-$25,000 at this stage depending on your course.
Receive COE (Confirmation of Enrolment)
Within 1 week of payment, the university will issue your COE via email.

The Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) is an official document proving you're enrolled in a registered course. It contains your CRICOS course code and start date.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
Waiting too long: Applications can take 6+ weeks. Start early, especially for February intake.
Not getting documents certified: All documents must be certified true copies by authorized personnel.
Applying to only one university: Apply to 2-3 universities as backup options.
Generic Statement of Purpose: Customize your SOP for each university and course.
Not checking intake dates: Australian universities have 2-3 intakes (Feb, July, sometimes Nov). Plan accordingly.
